Ceramics 2000 - Constructed Wall and Table Platters Landscapes | Vessels and Vases - Constructed | Constructed Wall and Table Platters | Figuration From the early 70's, as the various large and small sculptures in my U.S.A. sculpture accumulated, it became clear that helical movement and shape was a vital aspect of all forms of existence. Thus for me the spiral became a symbol of the life force. Its use in the ceramics is merely referential except in the case of the platters which all begin as a two dimensional equi-angular spiral.
